Il est principalement connu pour son rôle de Theodore «T-Bag» Bagwell, un dangereux psychopathe, dans la série télévisée Prison Break. Il est aussi connu pour ses nombreux rôles de méchant dans plusieurs films et séries (comme Heroes).
