James Newell Osterberg Jr., dit Iggy Pop, est un chanteur, compositeur et acteur américain né le 21 avril 1947 à Muskegon dans le Michigan.
Son groupe The Stooges (actif de 1967 à 1974 puis de 2003 à 2013) est l'un des précurseurs du mouvement punk (et a été qualifié rétrospectivement de «protopunk»), avec trois albums majeurs: The Stooges, Fun House, Raw Power.
