Elle sera suivie par Hammer House of Horror (La Maison de tous les cauchemars) en 1980, puis Hammer House of Mystery and Suspense (Histoires singulières) en 1984. Mêlant fantastique, science-fiction, surnaturel et horreur, cette première série peut être considérée comme une version britannique de The Twilight Zone (La Quatrième Dimension) Restée inédite en France, son titre se traduit littéralement par Voyage vers l’inconnu — à ne pas confondre avec l’anthologie Voyage dans l’inconnu (Quinn Martin’s Tales of the Unexpected, 1977).
