Edward Kennedy Ellington, dit Duke Ellington, est un pianiste, compositeur de jazz, de comédies musicales et de musique contemporaine et chef d'orchestre de jazz américain, né le 29 avril 1899 à Washington (district de Columbia) et mort le 24 mai 1974 à New York.
